How our video choices quietly change

I’ve been wondering something lately — do you actually choose what you watch, or do you just fall into it? Because when I look at my own habits, it feels more like I drift from one video to another without really deciding. I’m curious what kind of videos you naturally prefer when you’re just casually watching something with no specific goal.

That’s a good question, and honestly I think I used to just “fall into” whatever the algorithm gave me. But over time I noticed I actually gravitate toward very specific types of

videos depending on how I feel. When I’m mentally tired, I prefer slow, quiet content — simple visuals, everyday scenes. It’s not about learning or excitement at that point. It’s more like I want something that doesn’t interrupt my thoughts. Fast edits or loud energy just feel like too much in those moments.
